FRENCH WEDDING AT CHATEAU VAUX LE VICOMTE FEATURED ON WEDDING SPARROW
Choosing a wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you’ll have to make about your day and if you choose somewhere spectacular, like having a wedding at Chateau Vaux Le Vicomte, for example, you want your day to reflect all of its splendour and opulence. The perfect way to encapsulate the history and beauty of your venue is to use its architecture, interior design and location to inspire every detail from your flowers and dress, down to your Save the Date cards and place settings.
I recently worked on some beautiful French style wedding invitations inspired by a wedding at Chateau Vaux Le Vicomte. The planners chose to fuse modern-day trends with the architectural details of the chateau and this helped to set the colour scheme for the day. I was able to incorporate this into my designs, using primarily white, black and gold, but also adding strokes of light pink watercolour to complement the roses chosen for the floral arrangements.
I chose to include seamless gold calligraphy and hand-painted gold leaf motifs on the stationery. Though the details may have been intricate, the contrast of the white, black and gold created a really dramatic effect. It also helped to incorporate the opulence of the venue, creating something modern but that felt steeped in history and elegance.
The black and gold palette can be used to create a moody effect, but in this case, I also chose to use white and a splash of pink to soften the designs. The result of which was that these elegant invitations were not only perfect for a wedding at Chateau Vaux Le Vicomte, but these techniques can also be applied to any black tie wedding stationery to reflect your venue.
I am so pleased with the results and the final stationery suite. I am also pleased that this particular stationery suite was included in an article from Wedding Sparrow, you can read the full piece here .
