The English countryside is filled with so many beautiful country houses, it is hard to find the right one. Finding a wedding venue is one of the most important decisions you can make for your wedding. It will set the tone for your wedding, determine the type of celebration you can hold and be an extended expression of you as a couple.

Skipwith Hall and Gardens is based in Escrick in Yorkshire. This charming, intimate yet refined wedding venue holds an array of pretty spaces throughout it’s well kept, landscaped gardens with many mature blossom trees, wrought iron gates, secluded greenhouse, small pond in the middle of a maze and hidden walled areas to capture those special moments. For some English country wedding inspiration, the house itself makes for an enchanting location for a reception area. There is ample room within the main house, with a checkered marble dance floor to hold a dance party as well as further room outside to hold a marquee should it be needed.
Below I am sharing my most favourite images which just goes to show that you can position the very same venue as an effective backdrop, whether you’re planning a spring wedding with delicate lighter shades and neutral hues, or an autumn/fall or winter moodier wedding with darker tones. Whether you’re searching for the most elegant fine art floral wedding inspiration, subtle yet chic wedding stationery with beautiful calligraphy or wedding dress suggestions, there is something for everyone.
